The CD32 was a commercial flop and so no one would spend the time to develop for a niche machine when you could just crank out a A1200 game

Yeah, I doubt we will see it happen. I have been chatting with some that thought about making CD32 support for the Amiga core, but I think we will be lucky if we even see CDDA (CD audio) support. CD audio support should be enough for the emulation to work I think, then it should be possible to run the games on the Amiga 1200 with CD audio.
