Neo Geo Spinner Support

Hi,
I have just updated the Neogeo core following today's update from Sorgelig.

I have tried the support for spinner for Pop'n Bounce. However, at least in my case (I have got an usb ultimarc spinner) it doesn't seem to work properly as the paddle only moves just a little bit either to the left or to the right and then sort of returns to its oroginal position.

Has somene had a chance to test the spinner support as well?

Thanks to Sorgelig for this lovely addition!

Also using an Ultimarc Spinner - having the same issue. The spinner works fine in the arcade cores such as Arkanoid.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, it works fine with Arcanoid from my side as well.

I don't know if this is true for all ultimarc spinners but mine is controlled by a u-hid nano. This might be helpful information for the dev. In the SNES core it also works fine (if you set the controller to mouse), it just doesn't allow to use push buttons in the SNES core from a different controller as the arcade Arkanoid spinner core supports (with the arkanoid arcade core I can use spinner and fightstick buttons at the same time, which is lovely because I integrated my spinner into my fightstick panel).

You may have to switch the control type to paddle in the soft dip. That is what I had to do to get it work with my mouse in MAME.

I had the same issues and asked Sorgelig about it.

First make sure you select Spinner/Joystick or Spinner as an input setting in the NeoGeo OSD settings.
Then, you also have to enable spinner/paddle input inside the supported games themselves or via dip settings.

-Hypernoid
in AES mode, go to options in main menu, and select spinner.
in MVS mode, change the software dip settings from joystick to spinner.

-Pop'n Bounce
MVS mode only: change the software dip settings from joystick to paddle.

You can enter dip-settings by enabling it in the OSD, then resetting afterwards. After changing the settings you will have to disable it again to return to the game.

I can confirm this works setting the software dip settings to paddle.

Pop'n Bounce is nice with a spinner.

Is there other spinner playable games ? (other than Hypernoid)

Puzzle Bobble doesn't support spinners ?

You can also enable the dip setting and use aes mode.
