Issues playing Shufflepuck Cafe

Has anyone else tried to play this game - https://www.myabandonware.com/game/shufflepuck-cafe-rh
It is really unpredictable for me. Sometimes it works but its missing certain sounds like the glass shattering and opponent sounds when you score. Sometimes it boots but when you get in to the screen where you choose your opponent it crashes. Other times it ignores your input at the title screen. I've tried messing with cpu speed and expanded, extended, and conventional memory without much luck.
Does anyone know if this is a settings issue or something else?
