Any chance this works over Direct Video?

No, that's just a physical adapter. It says on the description page what it really does as well. If you want S-Video you'll need a RGB to NTSC (or PAL) encoder that outputs S-Video. The Jrok ( http://jrok.com/ ) is one such encoder. There I believe was one called NeoBitz or something like that as well.

I read the description, and I understand the device itself has to send out the right signal. I was asking as Component is available through Direct video. Kind of wondering how the Analouge devices are handling it then, as you can use this on those.

Is that I/O Board only? I am using Direct Video as I have no room for the I/O Board in my custom MiSTer case.

Some people have used with HDMI->VGA adapter. But it doesn't work on all adapters. To check you need 5V input on pin 9 of VGA connector

Are you planning on having these back in stock soon?

i think you need to open HDMI-VGA adapter, then disconnect pin9 of VGA and connect it to 5V.

Yes. It works on PAL and NTSC. You have a switch to select between them

I see you’re out of stock on these. Are you going to be getting anymore soon? I just bought a pvm and really need a s-video converter.

Hey Antonio could you reccomend an hdmi->vga adapter that has 5v input on pin 9 like you described?

No. I bought one without 5V on pin 9 and did the mod. I recommend IO SIMPLE instead hdmi->vga. It costs only 30 EUR and has better DAC than official IO.
