Trackball support

Unread post by lomdar67 »

I was wondering, is there trackball support in MiSTer?

In the wiki it says
USB wired and wireless mice, trackballs
But would something like a PS/2 trackball work? https://www.amazon.com/Arcade-Trackball ... B075JH3S54

How would a adapter to connect it to the DE10 Nano look like?

I have one of these, to work on USB (on windows) it needs an "active USB adatper"

Passive PS2 -> USB adapters dont work

As for trying it on MiSTer, I'll add it to my todo list :-)

The reddit MK wiki [1] has some active PS/2 to USB adapters listed. The popular "blue cube" adapter appears to have gone AWOL, though.

I can be wrong, but I would assume, that the trackball is connected to the PS/2 mouse port and not the keyboard port...

I have just tested my OptiPac and Trackball and this works as a mouse with MiniMig to control the mouse cursor.

It does not work with Centipede but I don't think the core accepts trackball yet.
