It is rba I am using now.

The mra files are located at dev/mra path from root of your zerowing github clone folder.

Do not forget to pull to the latest.
Thanks, I managed to make both Hellfire and Truxton. I didn't notice any major problem with Hellfire. Truxton was playable but I had a bunch of numbers and letters instead of backgrounds :D

Keep up the good work!

It also seems to be missing some shooting sounds.

Hi all Truxton fans.
If you love the game as I do, the @blk_yn aka blackwine had wip fix for this game in his repo.
I have prepared for you a standalone core and the mra, so you can play without screwed background. Zerrowing core will remain intact.
Bear in mind, this is not my work and all credits goes to @Darren_O, @blk_yn, @_atrac17

Once all work on zerowing core is done, remove this rbf and mra from your MiSTer.

I hope the devs won't be mad on me :)

Thank you, it seems to run just fine, Is there a chance to get Hellfire too, that's the game I'm most looking forward to playing that uses this board. No worries if not, thanks again for Truxton.

You can use the zerowing core, that has been posted earlier. This truxton core is standalone, because the blackwine's fix is probably incompatible.

Someone can try build and test current state of darren_o's repo and post the rbf here.

Here it is, not tested as I am far for my MISTer. I would also re-download the mras in case of changes.

I usually wait until things are in the update all script, but how are these doing? Most major issues solved or are they sill in the beginning stages?

I am watching changes on github and for know it is rather work in progress with very fast progress.
It looks like the main goal is to support more games(pcbs) in one core.
Check out the readme.
I take the release folder as public beta with ready core and ready to play mra.

I am curious, what steps has to be done to include final core in update_all pipeline.

1- mra file of every game of Toaplan core will go in _Arcade folder
2- rbf file will go in _Arcade ( in "cores" folder)
3- since isnt implemented officially in "UPDATE_ALL" script yet, you need to find the source of every game from every game when you will use with these "mra's" files + "rbf" file.
3a - .zip files (games itself) need to go in folder "games" and then in "mame"

Thank you may friend. Do you know if screen rotation is implemented in this core? Otherwise, it wouldn't help me on why HDTV!

Hi guys. There was an update at https://github.com/va7deo/zerowing.
I have builded and tested the core for few minutes and can confirm Outzone, Hellfire and Truxton looks great.

I have used wip mra files from dev folder and then from release folder. To be sure I have overwriten all existing ones.

My standalone truxton core is not needed anymore, I had issues with sound anyway.

Many thanks to Darren_O and blackwine for great work on this core.

I am very curious about SCU and HD647180X implementations for RallyBike, Vimana and FireShark.

Here you go.
Unofficial zip with zerowing_u20220205.rbf. Mra files included.

Use at your own risk. Remove previous zerowing.rbf to be sure.

Risking my very own life, I found out that Truxton is still waay too sluggish to be playable.

Oh well, I guess we can wait for the wizards to do their thing in time :)

I'm afraid not. Just compare with the speed the demo loop runs at. Maybe the sluggishness has to do with BGM syncing? (the demo -correctly- has no BGM).

I just compared it to mame recorded a video started both at the same time run up to the point you you ship get ramed and blows up and the mame version gets blown up a few frames ahead of the mister mame is forcing the game to 60hz mister is run it at 57hz, if it is runing noticeably slower your a better man then me to notice.

Some games are 57Hz, others are 55Hz. We are still working on this daily and somebody will announce when it's ready for a beta.

In the last few days there were 2 updates:
Revert "Use block ram for sound rom to remove z80 stalls."
Updated tile rendering. Draws layer 0 first and ignores priority 0 for remaining tiles.

I built the core:
Buttons no longer working, even after re-defining them in the OSD.
No sound, even when Demo Sound is enabled in the OSD.

Edit:
Truxton background is now OK, no more hexadecimal numbers as background.
