I still can't believe srg320 managed this. I'm so happy and so sad at the same time because I wish we could just all celebrate, but it's stll very hard to appreciate this accomplishment fully. Thank you so much srg320! I hope you stay safe, you and your family.

YES! Been waiting for this. Glad he's still doing okay and I hope he remains safe.

I'm at work, does this work with the MegaCD core at all to play CD/32X enhanced games as of yet??

I think samples in general are just playing back too fast, as if they were being interpreted as higher bit-rate than they actually are. Afterburner itself seems to run at the correct speed and the music is the correct tempo, just the sample pitches are off.

Still extremely cool to see just about everything else working beautifully.

Core menu is out of sync on my CRT TV (directvideo setup) and theres a grid of squares in the background when games loaded.

Games are playable even with that minor glitch.

Congrats to the dev!!

Thank you for this, Sergey! I hope you're well despite the circumstances. This is a great first release, but better yet is that you're okay.

It probably never will.

from Sorg“non-CD version. CD version probably won't fit as it requires too much SRAM amount in total.
AFAIK 32X CD games are just enhanced available Mega CD games which should be no big loss.”

Insufficient SRAM shouldn’t be a showstopper. They could just make it so if you want to run 32X CD games you need dual sticks. Even if the games aren’t that good, for completion sake I’d like to see CD support added.

He probably means BRAM, which is the ram inside the FPGA itself.

Just tried this and it works great, syncs great to my TV, and is a totally awesome surprise. The only issue is the super fast sound. It was funny to hear Admiral Ackbar the Chipmunk version. I think I will hold off playing with this until that one minor issue gets fixed so I don't spoil all the games in the mean time. Thanks so much srg, what a surprise!

Looks very good. I wasn't sure this was going to happen but it's pretty special. I've been a Patreon since the start of the Saturn development and I implore all of you to back him if you're not already.

Wow, amazing work srg320! Thank you so much!

Other than the high-pitched sound effects in some games mentioned by everyone else, Knuckles Chaotix froze on a black screen when starting the second level (as Knuckles).

Yep, enjoying the heck out of Virtua Racing and Virtua Fighter. Both ports are really well done considering the hardware limitations of 32x. Virtua Racing Deluxe is definitelty a huge upgrade over the Genesis release that uses the SVP chip.

BirdyBro also said the rewritten VDP on 32x core might benefit the Genesis core, so hopefully someone ports the newly rewritten VDP to the Genesis core.
