Are the MiSTercade and the DE10 Powered from the JAMMA connector?

Unread post by onefourk »

Hello All, I'm waiting for my DE10 and Mistercade to arrive and wondered if I need a power supply for them, or if the power supplied from the JAMMA connector is enough?

This is eventually all going in a New Astro City.

Everything gets run off your arcade cabinets 12v power supply. The MiSTercade converts 5v for the DE10.

The mistercade will power the DE10 via JAMMA.

BUT to set up your SD card, you may want a DE10 power supply.

The setup video goes over all that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veZFxTawDJ0

Or you can use the written guide https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ujk ... QNcuI/edit

If you have the v1.1 MiSTercade it has an added 5V jumper to toggle between cabinet 5V rail, and MiSTercade's 12V to 5V onboard buck converter.

Piggybacking off this topic, does the wattage and amps of the arcade power supply need to be of a certain value? For instance, would a Suzo Happ 120W work for the Mistercade as well as power other components of the arcade cabinet itself?
