4 Player Arcade Conversion Question?

Unread post by Dazed »

Hi,

I have a 4 player arcade which I built running on a pc using the ultimarc Ultimate I/O and running its emulators under launchbox. It uses arcade switches and joysticks and not game pads. It’s been great but I’d really like to eventually convert it to work with a Mister.

I’ve seen people having 2 person setups and using a jamma board. Is there anyway of getting 4 joysticks working on a mister or would I have to lose player 3 and 4 and replace the ultimate io with some jamma board harness?

Thanks

Another option I was considering is using usb encoders. If I rewired each of the 4 players controls to individual usb encoders would that possibly work?

I also have a trackball so that could potentially be 5 gaming inputs. Is that too many?

Thanks

I too am wondering this exact thing since Mistercade does not support CPS2 4 player inputs I don't know how I would hook up players 3 and 4. Is 4 player support coming to Mistercade?
