This Couchcade looks good, if someone would confirm that spinner and trackball work in MiSTer I would buy one for sure.

Im investigating too, trying to work out how to connect to an Arduino and get it all working as a USB controller.

A good starting point is the Arduino Reference here and here. I'm going to create a simple universal IR remote, stumbled over the same issue how realize an USB controller and found my solution(s) there:

So far based on the 12-in-1 product from GSR, its a USB to UART converter which allows the Spinner and Trackball to work over USB.
At the moment, I cant find an off the shelf Arduino project which can help so I have ordered a couple of USB to UART adapters from Amazon UK and will wire things up later when they arrive.
The buttons work fine of course with the Arduino (just 7 buttons).
Thinking of fitting a USB hub inside the couchcade to plug all 3 USB devices into and then one cable can connect them all to MiSTer.
Ideally one day I can get them all working on ONE board.
