Red LED Next to Fan Connector

Hi,

Was just wanting to know what the red LED is for which is next to the two pin fan power connector.

The red LED provides optical digital out, via the 3.5mm audio jack.

You need a mini Toslink cable connected to the 3.5mm audio jack then into a DAC to use this method for audio output.

Is that on the basic DE-10, or on the digital I/O board?
