Screen tearing/stutter after running core for a few hours with vsync_adjust=1

Hello,
Not too long ago I made the switch from vsync_adjust=0 to vsync_adjust=1 and I noticed that a similar issue to one I previously reported (and was fixed) with vsync_adjust=0 (viewtopic.php?t=2687) seems to still happen when using vsync_adjust=1.
Basically it runs absolutely perfectly for a while, and then after a few hours the display stars to tear/stutter every X seconds.
So I'm wondering: Could it be that the fix was made to vsync_adjust=0 only and was not applied to vsync_adjust=1?
If so, can it be fixed for vsync_adjust=1 as well?
It could just be my TV also, but I wanted to check if maybe it was some simple omission like this.
