Hotkey Combination for Switching Between Alternative Ini Files Does Not Work

an logitech k830 and 8bitdo sn30 pro controller attached to my mister. An alternative ini file which I can switch to using more options menu item.
Controller back(Y) + left does not switch to the alternative ini file.
Neither does back(Tab) + left on the keyboard.
Could someopne please help me understand what is wrong here?
