Black Screen When Loading Core

Hi all,

I'm trying to get setup with the ao486 core. However, even though I'm using the latest .rbf files and boot roms, whenever I load the core I just get a black screen. The core menu loads up OK, but the actual core itself is giving me nothing, even if I try and boot up a valid DOS image. And if I don't boot any images, I don't get any errors, just a black screen.

Anyone got and ideas on things I can try?

What kind of screen are you using, and where did you place which boot ROM files exactly?

So, I'm getting a completely black screen when loading the core. I can open the OSD as usual, not nothing displays on the actual core itself.

My MiSTer folder setup is held on my NAS, but I have tried copying the right files to both the NAS and to the SD card (with the NAS being turned unmounted).

I am copying boot0.rom and boot1.rom to the Games/ao486/ folder

It sounds like the BIOS isn't loading. Filesystems on Linux are case sensitive. That could be a reason here.

Ah OK, that makes sense. Do you know what case this core requires?

I tried renaming the folder on my NAS to GAMES/AO486/BOOT0.ROM (or BOOT1.ROM), but the problem sadly persists

What happens when you lowercase everything? That's how I have it on mine and it works.

Interestingly, I took the SD card out of the MiSTer, and changed all of the folders/filenames locally on there to all uppercase, and it seems to have resolved the issue! Maybe it doesn't matter whether it's lower or upper, so long as it's consistent?

Anyway, thanks for the help!
