Remapping Credit and Start for Arcade Cores

Remapping Credit and Start for Arcade Cores

Is it possible to remap all the arcade cores credit and start mappings at once or do I have to go through them one by one? I just built a fight stick and the existing mappings are usually l and r whereas I have dedicated buttons.

The existing cores are also inconsistent on whether start or credit is assigned to L and R ie Credit is L in one game and then in the next it’s R.

One thing you could do is assign the other buttons instead of the shoulder buttons when setting up your controller from the main menu of MiSTer.

I use the select button for coin and the start button for start (using Playstation controllers), but it is a hassle to have to re-assign this by hand for all cores. And these controllers do have shoulder buttons, so I don't want to swap them with the start and select buttons.

And indeed, it would be good if the assignment of the coin and start buttons would be consistent in the arcade cores.
