if you have a usb spinner that shows up as a mouse. You can try adding this code that was posted on Jotego's patron to the mister.ini file at the end it worked for my Ultimarc SpinTrak

[JTKIWI]
spinner_vid=0xFFFF
spinner_pid=0xFFFF
spinner_axis=0

set low sensitivity on the mister osd

was also having issues with puzz loop 2 but got it working by adding

[JTCPS2]
spinner_vid=0xFFFF
spinner_pid=0xFFFF
spinner_axis=0

and selecting paddle in the service menu and low sensitivity on the mister osd

It´s funny how simple things can be sometimes - to change the settings in the menu of the core like you do with a real pcb is logical on the one hand but on the other hand you have to become aware of this possibility - most of the time you do it with dip switches on the pcb

thanks spacecowboy420 - very brilliant

the credit gose to Jotego's patron member don't know if he posts on this forum but his tag is rsn8887 on patron.

i also tried it on Riddle of Pythagoras on the Sega System E core and it got the paddle moving but in the mister osd the senstivity setting is missing and any movment of the spinner puts the paddle to the far left or right of the screen witch is a shame.

Will this work for Arkanoid World ?

[Arkanoid (World)]
spinner_vid=0xFFFF
spinner_pid=0xFFFF
spinner_axis=0
spinner_throttle=50

Or do you just write Arkanoid, in the brackets ?
I have just made my own spinner using an Ultimarc USB SpinTrak, and it's really slow in Arkanoid.

You could try the DIY route:

Crikey, so if we gut a cheap mouse and put it in a 3D printed case, we can have a proper spinner then?

It would work, but you’d be missing the inertia of a weighted spinner.

Yeah but it would feel a bit more like an Atari paddle controller rather than an arcade spinner I guess. Thing is, this little solution works and works very well.
