MisterFPGA Analog I/O and Scaler: Interlaced signal compatibility?

Unread post by FragLag »

some posts seem to say that while the hardware can output an interlaced signal, the scaler that outputs to the hardware doesn't have an interlaced mode.

so i'm just trying to find out, if a game was programmed to output an interlaced signal, and you have an analog chain to an analog display that supports the right hz, if nothing glitches out should the misterfpga output accurately to the original?

The scaler is normally only for the HDMI output (it can be turned on for VGA via INI , but not the default setting)

So, yes, I expect the unscaled interlaced output to work as the original console
