MiSTer Multisystem DB15 VGA Connector

Unread post by emiliom »

Noob question here. I'm trying to finish my parts list so that I can put together a MiSTer Multisystem board and I'm not sure if I may have made a mistake with the DB15 VGA output. I'm hoping someone who knows more about electronics can help me out.

I decided on the Wurth 618015330923: https://www.digikey.co.uk/en/products/d ... OMmIAugL5A

It looks like the correct part, pins seems to line up, right colour, metal parts on the outside seem to match, but I just noticed in the specs it says the working voltage is 60VAC. Being in the UK I'm on 250VAC, but the Multisystem is powered by a 5V DC supply and I'm pretty sure there's no amplifier circuit amplifying the supply to over 60V on the board so I think I'm safe.

ChatGPT assures me that it's fine with a 5V DC supply but I thought I'd check with some humans to be sure.

You're correct, the spec is much more than enough.
