If anyone is interested in doing in-depth testing of CD32 games, send me a direct message!

Very nice :) Maybe open the document so others can edit it as well? I did that for PS1 games, and while its a bit chaotic what happens when you do that, it worked out pretty well I think. It does have a version history after all.

I actually got some CDTV games up and running. Did not expect those to work. Lemmings CDTV and Defender of the Crown CDTV, but for some reason the CD audio did not work with DotC. I used the IdeFix CD32 boot disk to run the games. I got Chaos Engine CD32 to run, but only had audio for some reason. Speedball 2 CD32 seems to be fully working, but only tested the running the game, did not try entering a match. James Pond 2 Codename Robocod CD32 runs well but the CD audio is too fast in the intro. Several more games to test. I want to see if I can find any CDTV games with CD audio that works with this

are chd games supported ?
i just converted my whole collection of bin/cue to chd and nuked the source files :)
... just to find out chd aren't booted: idefix boot disk says "cd0 not found".
i tested a normal .bin/.cue and indeed they work.

that's weird anyway, since core menu allows to mount a chd as cd.
hopefully sorgelig will implement this ....

EDIT: nevermind, was an issue with my retronas.

CHD is supported, works very well so far :)

I have been testing some more. Robocod CD32 had some CD audio issues, but I found it helped disabling fast RAM and IDE turbo speed. Still some stutters but now you can watch the intro and hear the voice and such. Tried several things for Defender of the Crown CDTV, but still no audio there.

How do you set up the core for testing?

Yes, several CDTV games will work, like SimCity CDTV, but none of them have CD Audio. I'm not sure if IDEFix CD32Emulator supports that on native hardware, or if that's where the issue is. Does anyone have an Amiga 1200 or 4000 with CD drive to check if it works there?

Hey guys. Incredible that CD32 / CDTV is starting to work. To celebrate this development, spread awareness, and to assist in testing, I've created a thread on the MiSTer Discord. Feel free to join the discussion there since there seems to be a more active audience on Discord than on the forums.

Here's the link to the Discord fyi: https://discord.com/invite/misterfpga

I use the “Amiga CD32 Setup for MiSTer” that is on archive.org. It boots CD32 Emulator and then you just mount the CHD in the second IDE menu. Has an MGL for putting in Consoles too.

The google sheets list is out of date. Chaos Engine works by selecting NoFastMem in the CD32 Emu. I reported the Chaos Engine Fix ages ago: viewtopic.php?p=76706#p76706

The person who is reporting games as having "controller issues" probably hasn't set the controller to CD32 mode in the core's system menu. None of the games I've tried have controller issues as long as the controller is in CD32 mode.

It seems this is no longer on archive.org. Any chance to get the files from somewhere else? Anyone willing to write some instructions?

We raise hopes here...until they're old enough to fend for themselves.
