Hi, I'm wondering if I can use a USB to DB9 serial adapter connected to the MiSTer to add physical devices through a serial connection. For example, a modem, GPS or Palm Pilot. I would be specifically interested in doing this with the ao486 and miniMig cores.

I haven’t personally tested it, but I think you can. You use midilink by @bbond007.

The C64 core has serial IEC support via the user port so you can use real disk drives with the core via a simple interface so it is possible

I'm able to receive data but don't seem to be able to send it. I'm using Hyperterminal in AO486 Windows 95, and NComm in Minimig. I'm connected to a TheOldNet.com Wifi serial modem through a PL2303 USB to serial cable.
I set up the connection as 8-N-1, xon/xoff 300 bps according to the TheOldNet instructions. I see its welcome message and instructions in HyperTerminal but I can't enter any of the supported AT commands. I can't get any response from the modem after the welcome message.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what I could try?
