I was reading through the "Overclocking for Neogeo" thread and found myself reading through a rather heated conversation. It probably would have helped me to see a "CoreDev" tag to understand the opinions. Not that us users' opinions are worth any less, but the tag maybe would add some weight to the conversation.
Good idea or awful?
It's a good idea but already exists and has done for a few years, if you have missed it the tag is under the user name on the right hand side, and is present for core developers. I have scanned the thread you posted and I think all the core developers are tagged correctly in it.
However as the tag setting is a manual procedure, it is possible I have may have missed some known MiSTer core developer's forum accounts, feel free to let me know about any in this thread.
