No, https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Atari26 ... 200818.rbf is the latest.

I have an unofficial core that supports SNAC and works with my Atari Paddles. I put in a request in the issues for adding SNAC into the official core. In my unofficial core, Warlords is messed up, but it is fixed in the latest core (and possibly earlier). I am hoping this can happen.

Also, when I try to play Pitfall II, it totally just crashes everything with my CRT monitor out of sync. I am using direct_video. I haven't had time to try different settings, but hopefully I just need to adjust something to get it to work.

I just tried Pitfall II on my PVM, TV with Composite and Component input. No issues.
Try these settings in your MiSTer.ini. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... =242699346

Also the name of the rom needs an extension of P2 for it to use the right mapper
as per the git info https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Atari26 ... ix-mappers

I'm seeing minor graphics corruption with the latest release (Atari2600_20200824.rbf) on Pitfall II. The ROM has the correct md5 checksum and has a p2 extension. The issue seems isolated to the top and bottom of the sprites. I also verified everything works fine on a real Atari 2600.

Attached are some screen shots showing some of the issues.

Thanks! I had it working previously and I thought something broke. It turns out I had made a _Favorites folder and put Pitfall II in there and renamed the extension. I didn't rename it in the main rom folder. As soon as I went to my Favorites, Pitfall II was there and it worked fine. :-) The music is an octave too low and his hair is missing though, lol.

Pitfall II was broken after the update a few days ago and it was fixed with yesterdays update.

Does anyone else have the OSD bug where after you launch a game you can't launch the OSD over analog output but it displays over the HDMI output?

To trigger the bug launch Custer's Revenge then the OSD won't display. It seems to only happen with certain games.

Doesn't seem to be fixed per the above report (sprite and sound issues).

Can someone add:

Pac-Man 8k (Dintar) to the Atari 2600 compatibility list? He also has a 4k version.

It is my favorite game for the system by far.

It would not boot for me, so current state is non-working.

You should be able to update and add to the sheet.

Thank you.

Hopefully, that is the latest build.

You might like this, you linked to MY forum post on Atariage. And that's not the latest build, so I posted again on that same thread-the correct current 'dintar's pac-man', with cornering-and also linked to his thread.

What are the odds that you linked to my post? Neato. I guess both usernames are 'kaz'. :P

Here is the last time Dintar posted, and he has a link to his latest version:

---------------------------------------------
So the 'official' link to the rom is here:
https://atariage.com/forums/topic/22915 ... /#comments
-------------------------------------------------

Hopefully, that covers everything.

Those games are wonderful. Make sure to try: Stay Frosty 2, next. :)

And my all time favorite 2600 game (a homebrew): Dintar's Pac-Man (8k). Just astounding!

The MiST A2600 core got another update by gyurco. It looks like some of the fixes have already been applied to MiSTer by Sorgelig. Maybe there are some new updates that could be added to MiSTer?

MiST Changes:
**a2600_200831.rbf**
- TIA: fix divider by 6 (E.T., but affects all C,D,E audio waveforms)
- Update the DPC mask flags after changing the counters (Pitfall II)
- TIA: transparent latches for the color registers (D.K.VCS)
- TIA: don't apply pf_score when pf_priority=1 (Bobby is Going Home)

I also noticed the Bonus countdown displays properly on MiST D.K. VCS but not MiSTer. I'm not sure when it was fixed on MiST.

AFAIK, CPS1 does not have pause in real life, but the core has it. :)

So we are in 2020 using FPGA devices and we don't have to be limited by the limitations of the real hardware anymore.

CPS1 has pause, the real hardware doesn't.
We can pause SMS on the controller, we can't with the real hardware.
We can use save states in some cores, we can't in the real hardware.
We can even fast forward in the GBA core, we can't in the real hardware.
The list goes on...

People who want real feelings can always not use the added facilities.

By the way, I can pause in real hardware, I installed the 2600RGB kit in my Atari 2600 and I've added a pause button. There were even Atari 2600 clones back on the '80s which included a pause button out-of-the-box.

It can be done, the question is whether a dev is motivated to do it.
I've found some details on how it works, which may help:

Compatibility update:

Pac-Man (pacman2600_8k_v8test_corn)
Author: Dintar

Game loads, no display, sound works. Sure was fun trying to 'play' the game blindfolded. :)

I use a vga to component cable to a retail crt. Not sure how it would do to an hdmi.

I updated the compatibility list.

The compatibility sheet is updated.
I can get sound and video when connected to my Sony PVM 15KHz and TV via Component but the screen rolls. Both connections use the VGA add-on board.

Edit: Both Pac-Man from Dintar work fine on MiST.
