Has anyone figured out a way to install The Elder Scrolls: Arena on ao486? I can't get the installer to work, the "install game" button is greyed out, and trying to just run the exe from the CD just gives me "Not enough EMM"

Ignore the greyed out menu item, just go on and Configure Game (sound effects and music to your preferences, I go with SB for effects and MT32 for music). Then Exit. It will create (by default C:\ARENA_CD) folder with arena.bat.
The EMS part is that you will need to use either EMM386 or QEMM memory managers for the game to work. Both easily usable from top 300 pack iirc.

Thanks for this. I'll try it when I've unpacked enough to the point where I can actually set up my MiSTer again.

I tried installing Carmageddon 1 from CD, and while the installation went fine, launching CARMA.EXE hangs right after the screen res changes to a lower resolution, completely hard-locking the MiSTer system.

I had to use UltraISO to extract the data files from the BIN/CUE of the disc because it has redbook audio in mixed mode. So I made my ISO with just the data files.

I assume the game uses FPU for it's graphics, because it's a 3D racing game with PS1-like graphics. Even if I did get it running, it'd probably be a slideshow anyways. It really needs a Pentium 90 or better to run well. Though I did get it running on a intel DX4 (100MHz) back in the day and it was playable.

I added this game to the spreadsheet on the first post.
