There is a samba script you can set up. Have you tried that one yet?

Re: Backup of SD Card + USB Disk to NAS
Not sure if it'd work for your needs, but could you store the ROMs and cores on your NAS and load them using cifs on the mister? That way the bulk of the data is already on the NAS and the only things you'd be backing up from the SD card would be config, scripts, etc., which I imagine would sync pretty quickly since they're not too large of files i...

Re: Stunt Race FX Issues
Did a new comparison. MiSTer implementation looks to be super close. Could even be something with the way I'm capturing and syncing stuff up. Quite an improvement from where it was months ago.

Re: Stunt Race FX Issues
Did a new comparison using the SNES_unstable_20220815_14e889. It's slower than before, but hopefully that's just a temporary setback. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-E_moTKr3w Not in the video is a test I did with the SFX turbo mode in the core. That was way too fast - crashed out at almost exactly 1 minute using in-game timer, whereas real hardw...

Re: MAS Classic (American Style Real Arcade Joystick)
Personally, I don't think so. I used one of the original MAS sticks back around 2001 or so, and it was nice. Friend's stick was complete with all parts and worked on two or three different consoles, and I'm pretty sure he paid less than $300/each per stick. Of course there is inflation and other things to factor in. But for $300 I'd much rather get...

Re: USB2SNES Support
There's an actual USB port on the the sd2snes/fx pack that allows for a few things. It can be used to read and write ram, which is used for autotracking (seperate program that runs on a computer and monitors the SNES's ram) items in a game, like Link to the Past or Super Metroid. It can also be used to load roms directly from a PC. Probably other d...

Re: USB2SNES Support
Like mr_chrislad, one of the only reasons I keep my SFC hooked up still is to use USB2SNES to do randomizers with autotracking.
Not a programmer, and I have no idea if it'd be possible to implement on MiSTer, but I'd love to see it added.

It's described as "Early Alpha Preview" in the readme, so definitely don't be surprised if there are issues with the core at this point. Still nice to see though

Re: Stunt Race FX Issues
Digging through a pile of stuff tonight I found that I do still have an actual cartridge of the Japanese version Wild Trax. So I did a comparison of the time trial mode like Storminormin did.
My results are the same. The MiSTer SNES core is definitely slower after just a minute of playing.

Here's a brief comparison I threw together of Stunt Race FX on MiSTer vs SD2SNES on a SNES 1chip ntsc model. Unfortunately I don't have an original cartridge anymore. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuB2hQ5z1JA If there's something specific you'd like me to try and compare between them, I can try and do that as long as I don't have to play the game...

There's an unstable-nightly build out now with MSU support (also requires unstable-nightly for MiSTer).
Anyone gotten it to work? I tried three different MSU audio hacks and none of them played the new audio, only the base sound effects.

The various betas for the game loaded up, but admittedly I didn't try playing those.

To confirm, there's currently no way to disable downloading cheats using update_all without renaming the cheats directory before and after running it.
Is that correct?

I have two mc chtulhu-based fight sticks, and the same thing happens, and have had similar experiences with other devices I try to use the chtulhu with. I personally think it's something with the board.

Re: Are the MiSTercade and the DE10 Powered from the JAMMA connector?
The mistercade will power the DE10 via JAMMA.
BUT to set up your SD card, you may want a DE10 power supply.
The setup video goes over all that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veZFxTawDJ0
Or you can use the written guide https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ujk ... QNcuI/edit

Indeed you can. I use cifs for _Computer, _Console, _Other, _Utility, BIOS, bootrom, cheats, config, docs, Filters, Filters_Audio, font, games, Presets, saves, savestates, Shadow_Masks
